History

This atomic ranch style home was built by Marge in the mid-1960's.  I met her when I moved down the street in 1976.  I remember Marge  as an eccentric recluse  with a passion for nature.  She fed a large population of skunks and developed a winding trail  through the woods behind her house.  She also had a collection of twigs and branches with human faces.  Some made by nature and other faces were coxed from the wood with Marge's help.

After her death in 1988, Stanley Stahl and I purchased the house and property.  Our intent was to preserve the woods and wet lands she loved so much and create a healing space to share the beauty of nature with others.

For the next three years house and property were used for massage therapy, community meetings and Permaculture workshops.  The property was rented to private individuals until May of 2006 when I moved back in to continue the dream of developing this site to share with others.

Vision

To develop a retreat for artists, musicians,  writers , nature lovers and the Olympia community.  The site will  include guest rooms, sauna, float tank and Jacuzzi.  Green technologies and energy savings features  will  be implemented.  Meeting space for workshops, community gatherings and house concerts.
